aespa has shattered records with their latest hit “Supernova”!
As of September 2, “Supernova,” the pre-release title track from aespa’s first full-length album “Armageddon,” has held the No. 1 spot for 15 consecutive weeks on the weekly charts of South Korea’s major music platforms Melon and Genie.
Notably, this marks a new record for the longest time at No. 1 in the 20-year history of Melon’s charts, which began in November 2004.
Until last week, aespa’s “Supernova” was tied with NewJeans’ “Ditto” for the record as the longest-charting No. 1 song in Melon’s history at 14 weeks.
Additionally, “Supernova” has consistently held the No. 1 position on Melon and Genie’s monthly charts for three consecutive months, from June to August.
Congratulations to aespa!
