“Pilot” has surpassed 4 million moviegoers!
“Pilot” tells the story of Han Jung Woo (Jo Jung Suk), a star pilot who becomes unemployed overnight but succeeds in getting a new job after a shocking transformation.
On August 22, the Korean Film Council announced that “Pilot” officially reached 4,005,485 moviegoers.
Jo Jung Suk expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much to the 4 million viewers of ‘Pilot.’” In the movie, he played dual roles as Han Jung Woo and Han Jung Mi, delivering much of the humor and playing a key role in the film’s success.
Lee Joo Myung, who plays Yoon Seul Gi, also shared her thanks, saying, “I’m so happy and thankful for the love we’ve received for my first movie.”
Han Sun Hwa, who plays Han Jung Mi, added, “Everyone, did you enjoy watching it? Thanks to you, we’re celebrating with 4 million moviegoers. Thank you for being with us this hot summer.”
Shin Seung Ho, who portrays Seo Hyun Seok, and director Kim Han Gyeol also expressed their appreciation, saying, “Thank you very much for loving our movie.”
As the highest-grossing Korean film of the summer, “Pilot” is being closely watched to see if it can maintain its momentum and surpass 5 million viewers.
