On August 19, an industry source revealed to Sports Chosun that Lee Jae-wook et Choi Sung-eun will play the lead role in the new K-drama “Last Summer”.
“Last Summer” tells the story of a romance between a woman who hates summer and a man who looks forward to it every day. After two years of separation, they reunite and explore their feelings, from physical to inner thoughts, in a summer setting.
Lee Jae-wook will perform Baek Do-ha, an architect and director of the Pluto Atelier architectural firm. Although he appears to be a racehorse determined to achieve his goals, there is a very different personality hidden within him. Choi Sung-eun will perform Song Ha-kyeong, a hard-working 7th grade civil servant in the construction industry. Her reunion with Baek Do-ha is already raising a lot of expectations among viewers, curious to see how their story will unfold over the summer.
Lee Jae-wook has been an actor known for his outstanding performances since his debut. He consolidated his prominent career with notable roles in “The Alchemy of Souls” and “The Impossible Heir,” and is expected to star in the series “Hong Rang.” Fans are eager to see him develop into a romance after a while.
Choi Sung-eun recently gained attention with his role alongside Song Joong-ki in the film “My Name Is Loh Ki-wan.” Fans hope to see her career blossom with “Last Summer.”
