Upcoming film “Love in the Big City” has unveiled a glimpse of Noh Sang Hyun’s character!
Based on a bestseller novel by Park Sang Young and helmed by Director Lee Eon Hee of “The Accidental Detective 2: In Action,” “Missing,” and “Love Exposure,” “Love in the Big City” is a romance film that depicts a cohabitation between a free-spirited woman and a man who hides his innate secrets.
Noh Sang Hyun, known for his standout role in the global hit “Pachinko” and his work in “Soundtrack #2” and “Behind Every Star,” is stepping into his first leading film role in “Love in the Big City.” He plays Heung Soo, a character who seeks to distance himself from the world.
Heung Soo is indifferent to school, women, and romance, and he tends to keep people at arm’s length. Noh Sang Hyun’s refined acting is expected to add emotional depth to the film. His chemistry with Kim Go Eun, who plays Jae Hee, Heung Soo’s best friend and roommate, is anticipated to be a highlight.
Director Lee Eon Hee praised Noh Sang Hyun, saying, “Noh Sang Hyun has brought Heung Soo to life beyond our expectations. His performance will feel completely fresh.” Park Sang Young added, “Noh Sang Hyun’s expressionless face and his softened expression when smiling fit perfectly with Heung Soo’s character.”
“Love in the Big City” is scheduled for theatrical release on October 2, following its premiere at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 13.
