Good Partner continues to achieve soaring viewership ratings. Even a 3-week break didn’t pose a problem.
SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama Good Partner resumed airing on August 16th after a 3-week hiatus due to the Paris Olympics broadcast. According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 6 of Good Partner recorded a 13.6% rating, while Episode 7 reached 17.7%.
In last week’s episode, the hidden divorce story of Han Yuri’s (played by Nam Ji Hyun) mother (Seo Jung Yeon) was revealed. Kim Hee Ra (Lee Jin Hee), the mistress of Han Yuri’s father, had visited Cha Eun Kyung’s (Jang Na Ra) office. Cha Eun Kyung remembered that she had once provided legal representation for Han Yuri’s father and his mistress, Kim Hee Ra.
Kim Hee Ra brazenly greeted Han Yuri and then presented a document claiming that Han Yuri’s father had given her the house. She went further and suggested that Han Yuri should be fired, claiming that Han Yuri had cost her a job in the past. When Cha Eun Kyung refused the suggestion, Kim Hee Ra escalated it into a threat.

Cha Eun Kyung secretly met with Han Yuri’s mother and learned that she had been coerced into giving 300 million won to Kim Hee Ra. After getting the transaction history and a recording from Han Yuri’s mother, Cha Eun Kyung warned Kim Hee Ra that she would tell Han Yuri everything next time. Worried that Han Yuri might find out, Kim Hee Ra quickly left.
Meanwhile, cracks began to form in the relationship between Kim Ji Sang (Ji Seung Hyun) and his mistress Choi Sa Ra (Han Jae Yi). Choi Sa Ra was promoted only to be dismissed from law firm Daejeong shortly afterward, but she pretended to be fine, saying, “It’s nice to be able to spend the whole day together.”
However, tensions flared when Kim Ji Sang prioritized preparing for the custody investigation and focused on his daughter Jae Hee (played by Yoo Na). Kim Ji Sang said that he had no intention of getting married and that Jae Hee was his top priority. He further stated, “If we’re going to keep fighting about this, let’s end it here.”

However, in a twist, Choi Sa Ra was later shown checking a pregnancy test with two clear lines, hinting at an intense fallout to come.
