Park Shin Hye is set to shock audiences with a daring transformation in the upcoming SBS drama The Judge from Hell, premiering on September 21st.
This new Friday-Saturday series is a unique action-fantasy where a devil inhabits the body of a judge and teams up with a passionate detective to mete out justice in a world that feels like hell on Earth. Anticipation for The Judge from Hell has been steadily building, with much of the focus on Park Shin Hye’s role as Kang Bit Na, the demon-possessed judge.
On August 19th, the production team released the first stills of Park Shin Hye in character, capturing immediate attention. The images reveal Park with icy, cynical eyes, staring down her target with a faint, mysterious smile. In one particularly striking image, her pale face is splattered with crimson blood, further intensifying curiosity.
What stands out most is Park Shin Hye’s dramatic transformation. Known for her portrayals of strong-willed and upright characters, she’s taking on a radically different image this time—one that’s glamorous yet terrifying, as evidenced by the blood-stained face in the teaser images.
The production team commented, “To portray the demon inside a judge, Park Shin Hye underwent a complete transformation, from her expressions to her entire physicality. She pushed herself to the limit, throwing herself into the role with everything she had. We hope viewers are excited to see her embody this wicked yet endearing demon as she delivers some satisfying justice.”
The Judge from Hell is set to premiere with back-to-back episodes on Saturday, September 21st, at 10 PM KST.
