MBC’s upcoming drama “Black Out” has unveiled a new poster of Byun Yo Han and Go Joon!
Adapted from the best-selling German mystery novel “Snow White Must Die,” “Black Out” is a crime thriller drama that follows the gripping story of a young man accused of murder in a mysterious case where no corpses were found. 11 years later, he embarks on a journey to uncover the truth of that fateful day.
The newly released poster shows the differing viewpoints of Go Jung Woo (Byun Yo Han) and Noh Sang Chul (Go Joon) as they pursue what the caption describe as “the truth behind that night, which might have been better left unknown.” Dark shadows on Go Jung Woo’s face represent his confusion as he is unexpectedly labeled a murderer due to lost memories.
In contrast, Noh Sang Chul, who stands behind Go Jung Woo, looks away with a face full of suspicion and dissatisfaction, emphasizing the tension between them. Despite their opposing roles—a convicted murderer and a detective—their mutual goal of uncovering the truth from that fateful day 11 years ago adds intrigue to their tense and complex relationship.
Byun Yo Han commented, “Noh Sang Chul is a character who is suspicious of and hostile toward Go Jung Woo, leading to fights and clashes between them. I believe it was only possible for us to portray the nuances of every moment between our characters because it was Go Joon who was playing Noh Sang Chul.”
Go Joon said, “I’ve always considered Byun Yo Han an excellent actor because of his focus on the situation and his approach to his character.” He added, “As the drama unfolds, Go Jung Woo and Noh Sang Chul become closer, and just like in the drama, Byun Yo Han and I similarly grew closer. I think we became a lot closer toward the end of the drama because we’d been maintaining the tension [between our characters] on set.”
“Black Out” is set to premiere on August 16 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
