Lee Bo Young, Lee Min Ki, and Kang Ki Young may be joining forces for the Korean remake of “Mary Kills People”!
On August 9, it was reported that Lee Bo Young, Lee Min Ki, and Kang Ki Young have been cast as the leads in the Korean adaptation of the hit Canadian series “Mary Kills People.”
In response to the report, Lee Bo Young’s agency J,Wide-Company shared, “Lee Bo Young is positively reviewing the offer to star in the ‘Mary Kills People’ remake.” Lee Min Ki and Kang Ki Young’s representatives have not yet commented on the casting news.
“Mary Kills People” is a Canadian series that follows a doctor who illegally assists terminally ill patients with euthanasia and a detective who tracks down her illegal activities. The Korean remake will be directed by PD Park Joon Woo, known for his work on “Taxi Driver” and “Crash.”
Lee Bo Young has been offered the lead role of a doctor who secretly provides euthanasia to suffering patients.
Lee Min Ki is reportedly in talks to play the detective pursuing her, while Kang Ki Young is expected to take on the role of her accomplice, a fellow doctor who aids her in these illegal activities.
