After nearly two years, GFRIEND’s Kim Sowon has parted ways with OUI Entertainment.
On August 8, OUI Entertainment officially announced that they had come to a mutual agreement with Kim Sowon to end her exclusive contract. The idol-turned-actress first signed with the agency back in November 2022.
OUI Entertainment’s full statement is as follows:
Hello.
This is OUI Entertainment.First, we would like to thank all the BUDDY [GFRIEND fans] who have given actress Kim Sowon their unsparing love and support.
After a long discussion with Kim Sowon regarding her future activities, we mutually agreed to end her exclusive contract out of respect for one another’s opinions.
Once again, we would like to sincerely thank Kim Sowon for being with us as an artist under our agency, as well as the BUDDY who joined her on that shining journey.
We ask that you continue to give your unchanging interest and encouragement to Kim Sowon, who will continue her activities in a wide array of fields.
