Cha Eun Woo has chosen his next project: he will star in a K-drama alongside Park Eun Bin.
According to an exclusive report from Starnews on the 26th, Cha Eun Woo will star in the new drama titled The Wonder Fools (working title).
The Wonder Fools, originally known as The B Team, tells the story of “imperfect” superheroes whose powers are triggered without them wanting to. After considering several adaptations, The Wonder Fools will finally offer an original scenario.
Cha Eun Woo will play Lee Woon Jung, a mysterious and socially awkward civil servant with a secret past. Although he is a lonely character who has difficulty relating to others, he begins to understand the importance of “us” after meeting Eun Chae Ni, played by Park Eun Bin.
The drama will be directed by Yoo In Shik, the talented director of the series Dr. romantic et Extraordinary Attorney Woo, and written by Heo Da Jung, known for the popular film adaptation Extreme Job. Production is handled by Romantic Crew, Kakao Entertainment and Fantagio. Although casting has not yet been finalized, filming is expected to begin later this year. The streaming platform for the broadcast has not yet been announced.
Meanwhile, Cha Eun Woo recently appeared in Wonderful World of MBC, which ended in April. He has since met his fans around the world at his “2024 Just One 10 Minute [Mystery Elevator]” concert, and performed at the “Waterbomb Seoul 2024” event on July 5 in Kintex, Gyeonggi Province.
