HYBE will respond to Min Hee Jin’s lawsuit by filing a counterclaim for false accusations.
Previously, ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin announced that she and others had filed lawsuits against several HYBE executives for defamation, alleging that HYBE illegally obtained her personal messages unrelated to work and edited them maliciously.
In response, HYBE has issued a statement denying these allegations.
HYBE’s full statement is as follows:
Hello. This is HYBE.
We would like to address the claims made by Min Hee Jin, CEO of ADOR, and others, who filed a lawsuit against HYBE executives today.
- Min Hee Jin has never submitted any information assets, such as laptops, to HYBE, nor has she complied with any audits.
- Two deputy CEOs voluntarily submitted their information assets. Our company has never forcibly acquired any assets.
- We have previously stated in court during the injunction hearing that HYBE never forensically examined a laptop previously returned by Min Hee Jin.
- Min Hee Jin sent numerous work-related documents, including conversations with a shaman, to external parties using her HYBE work email account. These emails remained on our company’s server.
- The recipient of these emails has been identified as a high-ranking official at a partner company, Company B.
- Min Hee Jin consented to the processing of her personal information when she joined HYBE, a fact that was disclosed during the injunction hearing.
- Despite our repeated clarifications regarding the acquisition of the information, Min Hee Jin and others have filed a lawsuit based on false claims. We will respond with a counterclaim for false accusations.
