Geum Sae Rok will be starring in the upcoming drama “Iron Family” (literal title) together with Kim Jung Hyun!
On July 18, KBS2’s “Iron Family” announced that actress Geum Sae Rok has been confirmed to star in the drama as the female lead.
Penned by screenwriter Seo Sook Hyang of “Pasta,” “Don’t Dare to Dream” (also known as “Jealousy Incarnate”), and “Wok of Love,” “Iron Family” is a dark comedy that follows a family running a laundry business for three generations. One day, they get unexpected money by chance, allowing them to smooth out the wrinkles in their lives and pursue their dreams.
Geum Sae Rok will play the role of Lee Da Rim, the youngest daughter of Clean Laundry run by three generations. Da Rim has been suffering from an incurable disease that has gradually narrowed her vision since she was 14 years old. Despite her visual impairment, Da Rim is courageous and confident. Da Rim miraculously finds a cure for her disease, but she gets frustrated by the ridiculously expensive cost of treatment. One day, Da Rim reunites with Seo Kang Joo (Kim Jung Hyun), who she shares unforgettable memories with, for the first time in eight years, and they continue their connection.
Previously, Kim Jung Hyun and INFINITE’s Sungyeol were confirmed to star as Seo Kang Joo, the managing director of Jiseung Group, and Choi Hyung Chul, a lieutenant at the Cheongrim Police Station, respectively. More stars including Choi Tae Joon and Yang Hye Ji are reported to star in the drama.
“Iron Family” is set to premiere in September as the follow-up to “Beauty and Mr. Romantic.” Stay tuned!
