IU and Jo Jung Suk shared a heartwarming reunion on “IU’s Palette”!
On the latest episode of IU’s music talk show “IU’s Palette,” Jo Jung Suk appeared as a guest to chat about his upcoming film “Pilot.”
IU began the show by reminding viewers that she and Jo Jung Suk had starred together in the hit 2013 drama “You Are The Best” (also known as “You Are The Best Lee Soon Shin”), which notably marked both IU’s and Jo Jung Suk’s first time playing a leading role.
Expressing her gratitude to Jo Jung Suk for helping her out back then, IU revealed that she had also sought him out more recently for acting advice about a specific scene in her 2023 film “Dream.” After recalling that Jo Jung Suk had personally recorded and sent her different versions of her dialogue from the scene, she said, “I was so touched. How could I ever repay you?”
“I was a bit impressed,” replied Jo Jung Suk. “Regardless of who has more experience, we’re colleagues, and it’s not easy to ask for that kind of advice from a fellow actor. I was really impressed by that attitude and mindset, so I wanted to be helpful in any way I could.”
After sharing some fun behind-the-scenes stories from “You Are The Best”, the former co-stars swapped songs for the show’s signature cover segment. IU covered “Aloha” and “I Like You,” two of Jo Jung Suk’s popular remakes from the hit soundtrack of his drama “Hospital Playlist,” while Jo Jung Suk sang IU’s recent hit ballad “Love wins all.”
