Kim Hee Sun recently shared her dedication to her daughter’s education on the final episode of the tvN variety show Watcha Up To?, which aired on July 11th. The episode featured the last dinner gathering in Seocho District, Seoul.
During the episode, Lee Soo Geun remarked on the high educational standards of Seocho District. He commented, “You can tell if the kids are destined to study or not just by looking at their parents. My kids, influenced by me, prefer sports and music, so I didn’t think moving to Seocho-dong was necessary.” He then mentioned Kim Hee Sun’s daughter studying abroad in LA.
Kim Hee Sun shared, “I’ve driven to Daechi-dong up to 16 times in one day.” When asked if she would support her daughter in becoming an actress if that’s what she wanted, she replied, “She once wanted to be a YouTuber but has since firmly decided on a career in life sciences.”
The actress added, “I have to go (to the States) when my daughter’s vacation ends. She’s starting high school.” When Lee Eun Ji asked about her routine when her daughter is at school, Kim Hee Sun said, “She stays in a dormitory, so during the week, I visit her for meals and shopping. Then, I go home and clean. My daughter does all the talking (in English).”
Kim Hee Sun married Park Ju Young in October 2007. They have a daughter named Park Yeon Ah. Park Ju Young is the second son of Park Sung Kwang, chairman of Rocksan Group. He currently runs a specialized beauty company in Apgujeong, with reported annual sales in the 10 billion KRW range (approximately 7.8 million USD).
In her previous variety appearances, Kim Hee Sun shared that her daughter, now in her third year of middle school, resembles her husband more than her. “She takes after her father,” the actress said. “She finishes her homework even if it means staying up all night. She’s very diligent, and sometimes I’m envious of her.”
