BTS’s Jimin’s new song featuring Loco is off to a strong start on the Billboard charts!
On July 8 local time, Billboard announced that Jimin’s new pre-release track “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” had debuted at No. 88 on the Hot 100, which ranks the most popular songs in the United States.
“Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” is Loco’s first song to enter the Hot 100 and Jimin’s fifth solo entry, following “VIBE,” “Set Me Free Pt.2,” “Like Crazy,” and “Angel Pt. 1.”
On July 9, Loco took to Instagram to express his gratitude to Jimin for the achievement. Sharing Billboard’s tweet (X post) about their song’s chart debut, Loco wrote, “Thanks to Jimin, [I’m] on the Hot 100.”
Meanwhile, Jimin is now tied with PSY as the Korean soloist with the second most entries on the Hot 100, with each of them boasting five solo entries. (The only Korean artist with more solo entries on the chart is Jimin’s bandmate Jungkook, who currently holds the record with seven.)
“Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, No. 3 on the main Digital Song Sales chart (meaning it was the third best-selling song of the week in the United States), No. 7 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, and No. 16 on the Global 200 this week.
Congratulations to both Jimin and Loco!
