HYBE will be introducing Team Korea’s light stick for the first time at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games!
Earlier in March, HYBE signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Sports Council to cooperate in leading the domestic and international cheering culture and jointly promote Korean culture during the Olympics.
As part of the agreement, HYBE will supply approximately 5,000 light sticks developed with its own technology, collaborate with HYBE artists on cheering content, provide content of HYBE labels’ artists within Korea House, which will be set up in Paris during the Olympics, and produce official Team Korea merchandise.
Team Korea’s light stick will be presented in two versions: TEAM KOREA OFFICIAL LIGHT STICK for the general public and TEAM KOREA OFFICIAL DIGITAL FLAG for athletes.
It was also announced that SEVENTEEN’s unit group BSS will join the cheering challenge for Team Korea to raise enthusiasm. BSS’s cheering challenge video using their mega hit song “Fighting” will be released on social media channels, such as the Korea Sports Council’s Instagram, on July 10, and then the challenge videos of the Korean national team players will be posted in relay.
