The latest episode of tvN’s Jinny’s Kitchen 2 has sparked a lively debate among viewers regarding the distribution of tasks among the cast members.

In the episode aired on the 5th, the team welcomed their first local guests with new member Go Min Si. Her quick hands and unwavering dedication earned her high praise from viewers. Despite the tough conditions, Go Min Si humorously remarked, “I don’t even know if this is Iceland or somewhere else,” but still optimistically added, “I think I’ll do even better tomorrow,” impressing the production team with her thorough notes on improving her performance.

Go Min Si’s tireless effort left Choi Woo Shik amazed by her enthusiasm. Concerned, Choi Woo Shik asked, “Min Si, have you had any water?” to which Go Min Si replied, “No, I’m afraid to drink water because I might need to go to the bathroom.” Choi Woo Shik showed his admiration, “I’ve never even thought about that.”

Viewers have since taken to social media to discuss the seemingly uneven workload, with some questioning the necessity of having three staff members in the dining area when two could suffice. During the second episode of Jinny’s Kitchen 2, the dining area was staffed by Jung Yu Mi, Park Seo Joon, and Lee Seo Jin, while the kitchen duties were left to Go Min Si and Choi Woo Shik.

One viewer commented, “Why are there three people in the front when two would suffice? And they could use carts for serving.” Another noted, “Jung Yu Mi doesn’t even speak English. I don’t understand why she’s waitressing.”

However, other viewers defended the current setup, arguing, “Two people aren’t enough. They need to handle desserts, drinks, serving, and payments, which is too much for just two people.” Some suggested hiring an additional helper might be the best solution.

Opinions also varied on whether efficiency should be a concern in a variety show. One viewer remarked, “I don’t see why efficiency needs to be considered in a variety show. Everyone is working hard, and the level of efficiency required for an actual business isn’t necessary.” However, this comment received mixed reactions, with replies such as, “Exactly, it’s not a real business,” versus “What are you talking about? It is real business.”
