MBC’s “Bitter Sweet Hell” has released new stills featuring Kim Hee Sun and Jung Gun Joo, showcasing their escalating tension!
“Bitter Sweet Hell” is a black comedy-thriller starring Kim Hee Sun as Noh Young Won, the top family psychiatrist in all of Korea. When an anonymous blackmailer puts her career and family at risk, Noh Young Won teams up with her mother-in-law Hong Sa Gang (Lee Hye Young), a mystery novelist, to protect their family.

Previously, Noh Young Won, aided by Choi Jae Jin (Kim Nam Hee), discovered the true identity of Moon Tae Oh (Jung Gun Joo), a supporter of Lee Se Na (Yeonwoo). She called him to her home and provoked him. Confronting Moon Tae Oh, Noh Young Won chillingly exposed, “From Yangju Cathedral Orphanage, impersonating Moon Tae Oh of Korea University. Oh Ji Hwan’s twin brother, Oh Tae Hwan. When did you think Lee Se Na found out?”
In the newly released stills, Noh Young Won confronts Moon Tae Oh with defiance in the police station interrogation room. Despite her anger, Noh Young Won remains composed while speaking, while Moon Tae Oh maintains a grim expression, intensifying the chilling atmosphere of the encounter.
At Noh Young Won’s firm statement, Moon Tae Oh suddenly erupts, shouting threats at her, but she meets his gaze without flinching. As Moon Tae Oh intensifies his resistance against Noh Young Won, the nature of their conversation and the hidden truth between them become focal points of intrigue.
The production team stated, “Kim Hee Sun will be caught off guard by an unexpected disclosure from Jung Gun Joo, leading to shock and surprise.” They emphasized, “Both actors bring exceptional immersion, tension, and energy to their roles. This scene will highlight the flawless synergy of their acting chemistry.”
