Jin Ki Joo has officially joined Seo Kang Joon in the upcoming action comedy drama!
On June 18, MBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Undercover High School” (working title) confirmed that Jin Ki Joo will star in the drama. Previously, Seo Kang Joon was also confirmed to star in the drama.
“Undercover High School” is a comedy action drama about a man who goes undercover as a high school student while hiding his identity as an agent of the National Intelligence Service (NIS). As he navigates school life, he builds solidarity and bonds with his classmates. The drama is penned by Im Young Bin of “Bad Prosecutor.”
Jin Ki Joo will star as Oh Soo Ah, a temporary Korean history teacher and the homeroom teacher for Jung Hae Sung (Seo Kang Joon), who is secretly attending the school as a student. Soo Ah works at the prestigious Byeongmun High School, where she is known for her strong principles and deep care for her students.
However, Oh Soo Ah notices a striking resemblance between Jung Hae Sung, a new student in her class, and her childhood first love who deeply hurt her. This triggers a series of dramatic events in her school life.
The production team stated, “Jin Ki Joo brings an intellectual image and bright energy to the role of Soo Ah, making her perfect for the part. Her interactions with the undercover student Hae Sung promise unpredictable comedy and romance. The production team is excited about the potential.”
“Undercover High School” is scheduled to air on MBC as a Friday-Saturday drama in 2025.
