BLACKPINK’s Rosé has officially signed a management contract with The Black Label, helmed by renowned producer Teddy.
On the 18th, The Black Label announced, “We have signed a management contract with artist Rosé. Based on the deep trust developed over years of working together as a producer and artist, Teddy and Rosé have recently formalized their partnership with The Black Label.”
The statement continued, “Rosé is currently preparing to meet her global fans with new music. She plans to engage in musical activities worldwide in collaboration with a global record company. We anticipate the best synergy from the unique musical color of Rosé and The Black Label’s commitment to supporting the free activities of our artists.”
The label further assured, “We promise to provide unwavering support to ensure Rosé can excel in various fields.”
The Black Label, established by Teddy in 2016, is home to notable artists including Big Bang’s Taeyang, Jeon Somi, Zion.T, Park Bo Gum, and Lee Jong Won. Teddy has a long history with Rosé, having produced several of BLACKPINK’s hits such as “Whistle” and “Boombayah.”
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK renewed their group contract with YG Entertainment at the end of last year, affirming their commitment to group activities. However, for individual endeavors, the members have pursued separate paths. Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo have each established independent labels for their solo activities.
