Upcoming film “Escape” has shared brand new stills!
“Escape” tells the story of the other side of the barbed-wire fence at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and depicts the fierce escape and pursuit of North Korean soldier Gyu Nam (Lee Je Hoon), who dreams of living a life with a future, and security team officer Hyun Sang (Koo Kyo Hwan), who must stop him. The film is helmed by Lee Jong Pil of “Samjin Company English Class” and “The Sound of a Flower.”
The first set of stills depicts the intense process of Gyu Nam’s escape. In one photo, Gyu Nam has a tense expression on his face as he assesses the situation, while in another photo, he and Dong Hyuk (Hong Sa Bin) are captured observing their surroundings. In yet another still, he and Dong Hyuk are shown jumping off a cliff.
The next set of stills gives a glimpse of Hyun Sang’s relentless tenacity in monitoring Gyu Nam’s whereabouts. Hyun Sang’s determination to catch Gyu Nam, regardless of means and methods, creates a compelling atmosphere. In addition, the photo of Hyun Sang dancing at a banquet shows a contrasting side to his ruthless image, piquing curiosity about his hidden narrative. Viewers can’t wait to find out how the suspenseful chase between Gyu Nam, who is trying to carve out his own destiny, and Hyun Sang, who will do anything to stop him, will end.
“Escape” is set to hit theaters on July 3.
