South Korea-based all Japanese girl group XG, or Xtraordinary Girls, is bringing their first world tour The First Howl to the Philippines. 

Their Manila show is set for August 2 at the Araneta Coliseum. 

According to local promoter Ovation Productions, tickets are priced as follows:

  • Lower Box A: P5,000
  • Patron C: P6,800
  • Patron B: P8,000
  • Patron A: P8,800
  • Seated VIP package: P13,800

The seated VIP package also include soundcheck and send-off access.

Who Are XG?

XG (엑스지) is a seven-person girl group under the name XGALX. They debuted on 18 March 2022 with the single album “Tippy Toes”.

The group had a training period of 5 years, which started in the year 2017 and lasted until the end of 2021. They have a hip-hop/R&B concept and are the first group to debut on the new global entertainment production XGALX, affiliated with Avex. The group aims to empower young people around the world with their fresh, original music and performance.

On the 25th of January 2022, Simon Jakops announced his plans to launch his first ever girl group with the name XG. The group’s official social media accounts were launched on the same day, and the following day the group released a teaser dance performance featuring all seven members, choreographed and directed by Choi Hyo-jin. In the following weeks, the group’s skills were showcased through music covers such as Rob Stone’s ‘Chill Bill’, Justin Bieber’s ‘Peaches’ and various dance performance videos.

On February 18th, it became clear that XG would be formally released on March 18th. From the 19th to the 25th of February, the seven members of XG were revealed, starting with Harvey, followed by Juria, Maya, Hinata, Cocona, Chisa and finally Jurin. The group officially debuted on the 18th of March with the release of their first single album titled “Tippy Toes”.

On 30th May, the group announced their comeback with their second single album “Mascara”. The single was released on the 29th of June.

On the 25th of July, through an official YouTube video, the group announced that their official fandom name was going to be ALPHAZ.

On December 29, 2022, an animated teaser was posted on XG’s official Instagram account, hinting at new music from the group,[16] and on January 6, 2023, the group announced that their third single, “Shooting Star”, would release on January 25. A remix single entitled “Shooting Star Remixx (Prod by JAKOPS)” was released on 7 April. A remix single titled “Left Right Remixx (Feat. Ciara & Jackson Wang)” was released on 5 May.

On 27 June, a teaser photo announcing the group’s plans for their first mini-album was posted on XG’s official Twitter account. The following day, it was announced that XG would be releasing a pre-release single entitled “Grl Gvng” on 30th June ahead of the release of their first mini album.

On July 24th, the group announced that their first minilong, New DNA, would come out on September 27th. On the 4th of August, XG released their second digital single, “TGIF”, as the second pre-release digital single for their first mini album. On 23 August, XG released their third digital single, “New Dance”, as the third pre-release digital single for their first mini album.

On 27 September, the music video for the title track “Puppet Show” was released alongside the mini-album.

On the 26th of November, it was announced that the group would be releasing their fourth digital single, “Winter Without You”, on the 8th of December. It was also announced that XG would soon be embarking on their first world tour XG 1st World Tour “The First Howl”.

On 27 March 2024, XG announced that they will release their fourth single album “Woke Up” on 21 May, and on 5 April, XG announced that they will release a collaboration single with the video game Valorant entitled “Undefeated” on 12 April.
