High School Return of a Gangster released new pictures of Lee Seo Jin in character.
High School Return of a Gangster tells the story of a gangster whose soul accidentally enters the body of a 19-year-old high school student. Having wanted to go to college, he builds a new friendship with a student who suffers from domestic violence and punishes perpetrators with his skills. The drama stars Yoon Chan Young, Bong Jae Hyun, Won Tae Min, Go Dong Ok and Joo Yoon Chan.
Lee Seo Jin’s special appearance in the drama is grabbing attention ahead of its premiere. He looks tough in the preview pictures, with his hair slicked back, scars showing on his forehead, a partly unbuttoned shirt revealing his muscles and tattoos peeking out from his arms. His character, Kim Deuk Pal, is a 47-year-old gangster with a surprising dream to go to college. Despite his rough past, he’s compassionate and kind-hearted.
The production team of High School Return of a Gangster praised Lee Seo Jin’s transformation into the ruggedly charismatic Kim Deuk Pal, stating, “Lee Seo Jin totally transforms into the tough Kim Deuk Pal. He brings a strong presence to the character, even when he’s standing still. We are grateful to Lee Seo Jin for his dedication to crafting this character, and we can’t wait to see his passion come through in the drama.”
High School Return of a Gangster will first be released on streaming service platforms Wavve, TVING and Watcha on May 29th, followed by a terrestrial broadcast on Lifetime on June 12th.
