MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Bitter Sweet Hell” has offered a sneak peek into Yeonwoo’s character!
“Bitter Sweet Hell” is a black comedy starring Kim Hee Sun as Noh Young Won, the top family psychiatrist in all of Korea. When an anonymous blackmailer puts her career and family at risk, Noh Young Won teams up with her mother-in-law Hong Sa Gang (Lee Hye Young), a mystery novelist, to protect their family.
Yeonwoo will take on the role of Lee Se Na, an intriguing character who exhibits unpredictable behaviors and a wide range of charms. She easily switches between personas from an innocent girl with radiant smiles to a femme fatale capable of seducing anyone. In her lifelong quest to understand her family, she encountered Noh Young Won’s advice about families on television and started to throw questions about the meaning of family.
The newly released stills provide a glimpse into Se Na’s first appearance where she reveals her mysterious charm. In the images, she is depicted engrossed in drawing alone on her tablet. With a light smile on her face, she seems fully immersed in her artwork while stroking one line after another.
Additional photos capture Lee Se Na engaging in conversation, with her smile directed toward the other person. These stills pique viewers’ curiosity about the character’s hidden story whose motives are yet to be detailed.
Reflecting on her decision to join the drama, Yeonwoo commented, “After reading the script, I was drawn to the charm of my character, Lee Se Na. It was a totally different role from the ones I played in my previous projects, making me want to do it even more.” She further expressed her fondness for Se Na, saying, “I tried my best to portray Lee Se Na, a challenging character I’ve never seen before. I referred to various books and videos as I delved into the character.”
The production team anticipates Yeonwoo’s performance will add heart-pounding tension to ”Bitter Sweet Hell,” enabling viewers to deeply immerse into the drama. They stated, “Please show your interest and anticipation for Yeonwoo’s performance as she promises to create interesting twists and turns through her unpredictable journey.”
