tvN’s upcoming romance drama “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” has dropped a new teaser!
Helmed by director Ahn Pan Seok of the hit drama “Something in the Rain,” “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” is set against the backdrop of Daechi, a neighborhood renowned as the epicenter of private education in Korea. The plot centers around an instructor who tirelessly assists a student named Lee Joon Ho (Wi Ha Joon) in gaining admission to a prestigious university. In a twist of fate, Lee Joon Ho later returns to the academy as a rookie instructor after resigning from a large company because he remains fixated on his first love, his academy teacher Seo Hye Jin (Jung Ryeo Won), even after becoming an adult.
The teaser clip previews unexpected events that unfold before Seo Hye Jin, a language arts instructor who was living an easy life. Seo Hye Jin visits a school in person and boldly appeals, “I’d like to request a retake of the exam,” in the middle of the high school faculty room, hinting at her uncompromising side when it comes to work. At the end of a dynamic day, the person who appears before Seo Hye Jin is her former student Lee Joon Ho, who returns to the academy as a rookie instructor.
After Lee Joon Ho joins the academy, he quickly becomes a rising star and begins to attract everyone’s attention. Watching him, Seo Hye Jin is somehow overwhelmed with complicated feelings, and without realizing it, she complains in front of Lee Joon Ho, saying, “I’m sad.” In response, Lee Joon Ho narrows the distance and meaningfully says, “What should I do when you behave like this?”
