The cast and crew of KBS Joy’s travel show Pick Me Trip 2 have been detained in Bali due to unauthorized filming, according to a report from Spotvnews.
The production team, which includes celebrities such as Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon, Apink’s Yoon Bomi, broadcaster Choi Hee, I.O.I member-turned-actress Lim Na Young, and Secret Number’s Dita, were reportedly conducting clandestine shooting when local authorities caught them.
The ensemble had entered Bali on April 21st with plans to return on April 25th. However, the lack of proper filming permits surfaced, leading to the confiscation of approximately 30 team members’ passports and effectively stranding them in Indonesia. Currently, they are being held at a hotel and are undergoing investigations by Balinese officials, with hopes of returning to South Korea by early next week.
One insider expressed frustration, “They’re all stuck in Bali, but even the cast doesn’t fully understand why they are being detained. The production team has not shared information clearly, which is aggravating.” Another source added, “The situation is baffling, and we can only understand what exactly happened once all investigations are complete. Efforts are underway to expedite their return home.”
The detention has forced the cast members to urgently rearrange their schedules in South Korea. Pick Me Trip 2 is slated for a May broadcast.
