In the upcoming premiere of SBS’s new variety show, Whenever There’s a Chance (literal title), Yoo Jae Suk playfully called out Lee Kwang Soo for what he referred to as “love marketing,” relating to his recent trip to Japan with his girlfriend Lee Sun Bin. The show, which debuts on the 23rd, features Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Yeon Seok as co-hosts and aims to deliver happiness in the fleeting moments of everyday life.
During the episode, Yoo Yeon Seok gently teased Lee Kwang Soo about his hairstyle, joking, “Is that a perm or just like you wrung out a mop?” which caused Lee to seek mediation from Yoo Jae Suk. However, Yoo Jae Suk diverted the conversation by mentioning Lee’s photos from Japan, saying, “I’m just glad you’re happy. I saw your photos from Japan.” But then he soon added, “But that kind of marketing is just too obvious,” suggesting the trip was part of a “love marketing” strategy.
Attempting to shift the focus, Lee Kwang Soo defended himself by stating, “Why bring that up? It was just a vacation, not some marketing strategy,” showing his exasperation with the ongoing jokes.
Adding to the light-heartedness, Lee Kwang Soo revealed Yoo Jae Suk’s unique coffee preferences, which Yoo Yeon Seok, who holds a barista certification, asked about. Lee humorously described Yoo Jae Suk’s coffee as “Just a hint of coffee with lots of water, like kids washing kimchi,” dubbing it “barely coffee.”
Whenever There’s a Chance promises a mix of humor, personal anecdotes, and the charming dynamics between its hosts. The show is scheduled to air on the 23rd at 10:20 PM KST.
