A time-traveling romance, “Lovely Runner” features famous actor Ryu Sun-jae (played by Byun Woo-seok) who has given up on life and his passionate fan Im Sol (played by Kim Hye-yoon) who is in despair over his death. By going back 15 years in the past, Im Sol then attempts to change the course of destiny and save Ryu Sun-jae, who also once saved his life.
In Korea too, “Lovely Runner” aroused public interest thanks to the tender and sweet love story of Byun Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon. Indeed, it only took a week after its broadcast for it to rank second in TV-OTT popularity polls (according to Good Data Corporation), with an audience rate of 4,1% in the Seoul metropolitan area (according to Nielsen Korea).
