Director Yeon Sang Ho has shared his thoughts on the potential second season of Netflix’s Parasyte: The Grey.
During an interview held on the 9th, Yeon Sang Ho spoke about the future of Parasyte: The Grey. The series revolves around a dedicated team named The Grey, formed to counter parasitic beings seeking to expand their influence by using humans as hosts, and includes stories of humans who have come to coexist with these parasites.
Yeon Sang Ho explained, “The ending that goes into like a post-credit scene is set 8 years after the main story. Shinichi Izumi, played by Masaki Suda in ‘Parasyte: The Grey’, is set in his late twenties.”
Regarding the production of Season 2, Yeon explained, “It’s not something I can decide on my own,” but added, “When talking to Suda at the time, we had some ideas for what comes next. I told him at which point within the bigger picture he came to meet Jun Kyung (Lee Jung Hyun). And to Jung Hyun, I showed the script containing the entire plan for Season 2.”
While Yeon could not delve into the specifics of Season 2, he confirmed, “I can say that Shinichi Izumi will appear. Since he appeared in the ending, he will play a pivotal role.”
