KBS Joy’s new drama “Sorry Not Sorry” has unveiled key reasons why viewers should look forward to its premiere!
“Sorry Not Sorry” tells the story of Ji Song Yi (Jun So Min), a woman whose life takes a sharp turn after a broken engagement. Struggling to pay off her newlywed home loan, she juggles multiple part-time jobs while navigating life in a new city.
Here are three reasons to look forward to the premiere of the drama:
The chemistry between divorcee Ji Song Yi and divorce lawyer Cha Hyun Woo
Ji Song Yi, a woman who became a divorcee before even having a wedding, is drowning in debt due to her excessive mortgage on her newlywed home. She survives by taking on various part-time jobs, such as working at a cafe and as a delivery rider. After moving to a new city to start a second life, she unexpectedly meets her former divorce consultant, lawyer Cha Hyun Woo (Choi Daniel), and their lives become entangled, leading to a series of complicated events.
Cha Hyun Woo is a cynical divorce lawyer who believes in quick and neat separations, while Ji Song Yi prefers emotional comfort over rational advice. The chaotic chemistry between these two opposites will both entertain and thrill viewers.
The friendship between Ji Song Yi, Choi Ha Na, and Ahn Chan Yang
Ji Song Yi, a single woman without children, takes a part-time job babysitting her nephew, Jay (Yoon Ha Bin). This leads the other moms to mistakenly believe she’s an elite mom who lived in New York. She is constantly anxious that her lie will be discovered.
Things take an unexpected turn when she runs into her old school friend, Choi Ha Na (Gong Min Jung), whom she desperately wants to avoid at a kindergarten. Ha Na, a super working mom balancing her career and raising twins, is at the bottom of the new city mom hierarchy but wants to reconnect with Ji Song.
Meanwhile, Ahn Chan Yang (Jang Hui Ryoung), a woman who secretly enjoys adult web novels and webtoons, finds out that Ji Song Yi was her husband’s ex-girlfriend. The three women, each with their own reasons, form an unusual friendship.
The drama’s unique setting and its colorful supporting characters
Other reasons to look forward to the drama include its vibrant new city setting and its unique, colorful supporting characters, such as the charming cafe owner Kim Yi Ahn (Kim Moo Joon), who captivates people with his good looks, and Jay (Yoon Ha Bin), an adorable child with impressive English skills. Other quirky characters, including Baek Seong Tae (Woo Kang Min) and Seok Jin Ho (Kwon Hyuk), will add another layer of humor and intrigue to the drama.
“Sorry Not Sorry” is set to premiere on December 5 at 9 p.m. KST.
