In a broadcast, a popular K-pop idol opened up about receiving malicious comments on her appearance despite being only 27 years old.
Kwon Eun Bi Reacts To People Calling Her ‘Old,’ ‘Fat’
Kwon Eun Bi, IZ*ONE’s former leader-turned-soloist, talked about the hardships caused by malicious comments.
On July 11, the idol appeared as a guest in an entertainment show hosted by Tanaka (Kim Kyung Wook) on the YouTube channel, “Hurry Up.”
In the uploaded video, titled “Kwon Eun Bi crossed the line,” the idol showed her genuine and unbothered personality while having a funny banter with the Japanese-Korean.

Amid the waves of laughter, Tanaka suddenly got serious and asked Kwon Eun Bi:
“Is there any comment that made you have a hard time and hurt yourself these days?”
The “Underwater” singer immediately replied:
“That I am old.”
She expressed her unfair feelings and vented:
“I mean, it’s not like something I can do! Although, I can understand that people who loved my younger version could think like that. I think people could think that way.”
Aside from that, Eun Bi also complained about netizens pointing out her weight.
“She is too old.’ ‘She needs to lose some weight.’ I am an average person and want to live a normal life, but they keep saying something about me.”
Kwon Eun Bi Reveals Feelings About Malicious Comments
Regarding this, Eun Bi revealed her true feelings about it.
“But then, I am trying not to care about those things, but sometimes it makes me feel hurt. There was a lot of talk about my age, but isn’t it inevitable to get older?”
Kwon Eun Bi was born in September 1995. After IZ*ONE disbanded in 2021, she decided to start her solo career and debuted as a fourth-gen singer in the same year.

While most rookies are in their teens and early twenties, Eun Bi is in her late 20s, making people talk about her age a lot.
In her early debut days as an IZ*ONE member and leader, Kwon was also often called out for her weight. However, since debuting as a soloist, she has been making waves for her upgraded beauty and physique.
In fact, at the recent Waterbomb Seoul 2023 event in July, held in Auxiliary Stadium at the Jamsil Sports Complex, the “DOOR” singer went viral in South Korea and among international fans for her sizzling hot performance, flaunting her golden body ratio, impeccable singing, and dance skills.
At the time, she received rave reviews, such as:
- “Goddess Eun Bi.”
- “Her body is crazy.”
- “Innocent, sexy, and so pretty.”
Following that, her song “Underwater” belatedly drew attention and entered MelOn charts months after it was originally released (October 2022).
