Reporters divulged on a recent YouTube live stream that Jun Ji Hyun’s marriage is on the rocks after her husband was involved in an affair.
What Sparked the Divorce Rumors Involving Actress Jun Ji Hyun?
Divorce news broke last June 2, when Garo Sero Institute YouTube channel had a live broadcast and the hosts mentioned that actress Jun Ji Hyun and her husband Choi Joon Hyuk have been separated since the last month of 2020.
Adding, they said that the K-drama star refused to proceed with the divorce.
Meanwhile, Choi Joon Hyuk is said to have left their house already. The two male reporters on the live stream revealed that Jun Ji Hyun doesn’t want to divorce as it will affect her career, specifically her various and major brand advertisements.
Her husband is rumored to have requested a divorce, while Jun Ji Hyun is considering migrating abroad. The male hosts stated that Choi Joon Hyuk might be asking for a divorce because he is having an affair.

Jun Ji Hyun Alleged to be Avoiding Divorce
With her numerous record-breaking projects from movies to dramas, Jun Ji Hyun is known as one of the A-list and respected actresses in South Korea. Aside from acting projects, the “My Love from the Star” lead is involved in various brand campaigns.
Since the 39-year-old female star could possibly pay fines for bringing a negative image to the brands, it is one of the said reasons why Jun Ji Hyun is avoiding the divorce.
Most of all, the reporters said that the actress is avoiding divorce because of her two children, who are just 3 and 5 years of age.
Jun Ji Hyun was married to Choi Joon Hyuk in April of 2012. Her husband is a banker and is said to come from a wealthy family – he is the grandson of the famous hanbok designer Lee Young Hee and the son of Lee Jung Woo, who is also a known fashion designer.

Jun Ji Hyun’s agency Culture Depot has not yet released a statement about the issue.
Meanwhile, “The Legend of The Blue Sea” actress will be returning on the small screen with “Mount Jiri” and “Kingdom: Ashin of the North.”
