K-pop made a strong showing on the United States’ midyear list of the best-selling albums of 2023!

American music data tracking firm Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), which supplies the data for the Billboard charts, has released its list of the best-selling albums in the first half of 2023—and K-pop artists claimed an impressive six spots out of the top 10.

TXT’s “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” is the United States’ No. 1 top-selling album by a male artist or a group in 2023 thus far—and the No. 2 best-selling album overall, bested only by Taylor Swift’s “Midnights.”

Next on the list was Stray Kids’ “★★★★★ (5-STAR),” which is currently the No. 3 best-selling album of the year thus far in the United States.

TWICE, the only girl group to make the list, took No. 4 with their latest mini album “READY TO BE“—which previously made history by achieving the biggest U.S. sales week of any female K-pop artist to date.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN’s “FML” made the list at No. 6.

Finally, BTS’ Suga’s first official solo album “D-DAY” ranked No. 8 on the list, followed by BTS’s Jimin’s solo debut album “FACE” at No. 9.

The top 10 best-selling albums in the United States in the first half of 2023 are as follows:

    1. Taylor Swift – “Midnights” (607,000)
    2. TXT – “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” (399,000)
    3. Stray Kids – “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” (327,000)
    4. TWICE – “READY TO BE” (286,000)
    5. Morgan Wallen – “One Thing at a Time” (242,000)
    6. SEVENTEEN – “FML” (236,000)
    7. Metallica – “72 Seasons” (215,000)
    8. BTS’ Suga (Agust D) – “D-DAY” (200,000)
    9. BTS’s Jimin – “FACE” (196,000)
    10. Melanie Martinez – “PORTALS” (194,000)

Congratulations to all of the artists!
