On November 1, three dance crew leaders 1MILLION Lia Kim, BEBE Bada Lee, and MANNEQUEEN Funky Y all sat down with SBS Radio’s program “Cultwo Show,” where they were interviewed about their experience and participation in the dance competition.

Curious listeners began to ask about various topics. During the episode, one of the hosts relayed a question addressed directly to Lia Kim.
According to the host, the fan asked if it was indeed correct that Lia Kim had an extreme diet routine, which consisted of eating one meal a day. Hearing this, Lia Kim explained that the information was indeed true.

She elaborated on how the strict diet routine began upon learning the benefits of eating one meal a day. When Lia Kim started the practice, she stated her body got easily used to the dynamic, and it came to a point where eating more than once can heavily weigh on her body.
Here’s what she said:
“After reading a book saying that eating once a day was good for your body, I started to do it. Eventually, my body got used to it and I’d start feeling heavy if I had two meals. Since then, I’ve been following that routine.”
Lia Kim is known for being a fierce veteran in the dance industry, and with her eye-catching movements, sufficient strength is required to execute such powerful moves.
The 1MILLION leader shared that many people worry about her eating habits since both energy and strength are necessary for dancing. However, Lia Kim added that eating more meals can weigh her body down and can lead to difficulties in dancing.
“People often ask me, ‘Isn’t that difficult for you?’ since I usually use a lot of strength (when I’m dancing). But in reality, it gets difficult for me when my body is heavy.”
Lia Kim also shared that while she’s strict on her diet, she’s not one to hesitate when it comes to eating more than once due to professional circumstances. She also followed up on the contents of her diet, which contains meat, vegetables, and fruits.
“I may prefer eating once, but I do eat two or three meals a day sometimes. But if there’s a meeting or something like that, I do eat at places when I want to.”
“I don’t eat lots of carbs. I eat vegetables, meat, and besides meals, I’d like to snack on fruits from time to time.”
