After being stalked by a 60-year-old stalker, a young female singer’s family filed a lawsuit against the old man, pointing out the aftermath of his stalking to the 14-year-old star.
Singer Oh Yujin Suffers From Fear & Anxiety After Being Stalked by 60-Year-Old Man
On October 30, TotalSet, the agency of the 14-year-old trot singer Oh Yujin reported that the young star recently filed a complaint against a 60-year-old man stalker.
The agency revealed that for several months, stalker A has been spreading false facts that he is Oh Yujin’s biological father and even contacted Oh’s maternal grandmother and current guardian, Yoo Il Nam, to ask if she is hiding the “truth.”
The stalker would raise these suspicions about Oh Yujin’s biological parents by commenting on her SNS and YouTube channel, instigating them to show her real parents.
The stalker wrote:
“People around me said that (Oh Yujin) looked a lot like me. From then on, I kept looking at her, and her teeth and semi-curly hair were the same as mine’s… I thought I should get to know her. So now, it has come to a point that I can’t work (without thinking about her).”
The family has been suffering from fear and anxiety after the stalker even demanded them to have a direct meeting together.
It was also said that stalker A has been visiting Oh Yujin’s school and the venue of the events she performed in, which led the young singer to develop fear of adult men. She also can’t hide her anxiousness when she is at the event venues.
Unfortunately, the police initially stated they couldn’t arrest the said stalker since he “hadn’t acted in a threatening manner” in either Oh Yujin’s house or performance venues.
Oh Yujin’s Side Files Complaints Against 60-Year-Old Man for Stalking, Defamation
Therefore, Oh Yujin’s side filed a complaint against A. The police also confirmed the allegations after the investigation and recently sent A to the prosecution without detention.
TotalSet released an official statement, saying:
“We filed a complaint against Oh Yujin’s stalker on charges of violating the law on the punishment of stalking crimes, promoting the use of information and communication networks, and violating the law on information protection (defamation of false facts).”
The company continued:
“Apart from the above criminal complaint case, we are also considering civil legal action and submission of a complaint in Oh Yujin’s grandmother’s name.
We will continue to take strong legal action without any agreement or leniency to prevent such damage from occurring again and will do our best to protect the rights and interests of artists.”
Meanwhile, Oh Yujin was born in 2009 and is currently 14 years old. She made her name known by appearing on the KBS 2TV entertainment program “Trot National Sports Festival” and the MBC entertainment program, “My Teenage Girl.”
